Forbes Blogger Reviews a Durabook Semi-Rugged Laptop
Ruggedized laptop computers are definitely moving out of their specialized niche market and into the mainstream.
Just check out this really positive review of the Durabook D13RY in a blog on Forbes, of all places.
David M. Ewalt, the reviewer, notes that the Durabook is a great all-around laptop, though a bit on the heavy side, at nearly seven pounds (a relative featherweight for a ruggedized laptop computer). He even writes that it might be useful even for simply clumsy people who tend to drop things.
At only around $1400, the price gap between non-ruggedized and traditional laptops may be closing. After all, if you have a $900 laptop, then break it and buy another, you’ve paid $1800. The Durabook will save all you clutzes $400 by that calculation.
After all, you don’t have to be rugged benefit from a rugged notebook–you just have to have a tendency to drop things.

This is really cool… Tell me about my strange option Wanna good joke? Why do hurricanes travel so fast? If they traveled slowly, we would have to call them slow-i-canes
